A hilarious send up of classical and not so classical music, plus whoever and whatever is making the news, all the way from - wait for it - Penrith New South Wales, Australia! David Scheel first created his one-man piano/comedy shows during a long stay in Britain, and immediately established himself as arguably the most original music satirist of his generation, notching up many appearances on BBC radio and TV. His send ups of music itself saw him labelled the successor to the great Victor Borge very early on. Expect to hear a tune by Bach played with one hand, and another by Andrew Lloyd Webber in the other, at the same time (!), a mini concerto based on the 20 worst tunes ever written, but also some beautiful music played seriously by a master of the keyboard, as well as digs at the icons of modern culture. "He is as funny as any, wittier than most, and, uniquely, a concert pianist of international stature." [BBC Arts Review]. David now lives just outside Penrith in the heritage listed Blue Mountains of Australia. Tickets available from Penrith Tourist Information, or online at
