Eden Valley Hospice provides care for adults with life limiting illnesses from North Cumbria. The hospice has a 12 bed adult in-patient unit with eight single en-suite rooms and a four bed room. The home from home environment creates a relaxing atmosphere for patients and families with each room overlooking the beautiful walled garden.
The Day Hospice provides care for up to 15 people a day, four days a week. Most days the sweet smell of freshly baked cakes fills the Day Hospice as patients, nurses and volunteers exchange stories about what has happened since they last met.
Jigsaw is Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. We provide support to children and young adults with life limiting conditions throughout the county.
The children’s hospice provides one to one care for children and young adults with life limiting illnesses, as well as extending the care and support to their families. Jigsaw’s home-from-home environment allows the nurses to match the children and young adults home routine as closely as possible, ensuring a smooth, relaxing and peaceful transition between the home and hospice environments.
The Hospice is very proud of its Retail operation, a part of our Fundraising Department which has grown steadily over the years to become a genuine presence in the high streets around Cumbria and a popular place for many in our community.
Our Retail Shops are a key area in which the Hospice raises the vital funds it needs to provide the care we can to the community that needs it.
Not only does it raise cash for the Hospice but it also provides our supporters an opportunity to donate items to us that can in turn be sold and the profits fed directly back to the charity. So if you find yourself in Carlisle, Penrith, Brampton, Wigton or online (like now!)
Please pop in to Penrith our shop and take a look at the great selection of items for sale. Remember - not only can you grab a bargain but you'll be giving money to a great local charity too!
