The Bower House
The Bower House is a luxury holiday cottage for two on the edge of the pretty village of Morland in Cumbria.
Lovely view to Cross Fell
The Bower House has recently been converted into a stunning single storey holiday cottage. It is built of local limestone and sandstone under a Westmorland slate roof. There is a real ‘Wow’ factor as you walk through the oak door and see the amazing view through the huge picture window ahead of you. You then notice the wonderful boarded floor made from Morland oak, the sturdy A-frame high roof, the wood burning stove, the comfortable twin sofas and arm chair, the grandfather clock, the 32” flat screen TV and Hi-Fi system, and the antique furniture. The comfortable double bed can be folded up into a cupboard to provide extra space if required. But few people bother.
Double glass doors open onto the wide sandstone terrace with dining table and chairs set above the private field and garden and the long lovely view to Cross Fell, highest of the Pennine range.
