Your Guide to What's On in Penrith

Eden Dementia Friendly Communities Partnership  is hosting a free drop-in event for people living with dementia and their carers, and anyone interested in learning more about dementia and staying active to live longer better.

 

There will be information about local activities and support, free fitness and bowls taster sessions, mindfulness and craft workshops and a Dementia Friends Information Session.

 

When:  Thursday 16 May, 10am-1pm

Where:   Penrith Leisure Centre, Southend Road, CA11 8JH

 

Event Schedule:

10am–1pm             Bowls tasters in the Indoor Bowls Hall

10:30 & 12:00         Mindfulness Workshops    

12:10–1pm             Dementia Friends Information Session

Businesses are encouraged to attend the Dementia Friends Information session where you will learn what it's like to live with dementia and the small actions you can take to support people living with the condition. Everyone who attends the Dementia Friends Information Session will earn an Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends badge.  Please  book your place  on this session.

 

The fitness and bowls taster sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities and for people with long-term health conditions, including dementia. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. No booking required.
