Your Guide to What's On in Penrith

22nd October 2025

Volunteering Fair

Time: 11am - 1pm
Location: Penrith Leisure Centre Sports Hall
Categories: Classes

Ever wondered what YOU could gain from volunteering?

As a volunteer you will gain so much: whether you are looking to enjoy a new challenge, diversify your skills, widen your social networks, improve your self esteem and confidence, gain a sense of purpose, be a part of your local community, improve your mental health and wellbeing, make a difference to the lives of others, improve the environment, or take a step towards a new career - volunteering has something for you.

Join us in the sports hall at Penrith Leisure Centre to embark on a whole new and exciting volunteering journey!

Around 20 organisations will be present, showcasing their opportunities for you to join them, with a chance to ask questions, find out more about their work, and sign up as a volunteer. Discover the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed, and how you can make a difference.

All welcome!

This event is part of our This Is Us project, made possible by Westmorland and Furness Council through funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
