Carlisle Eden Mind is a local charity, affiliated to the National Mind Charity, supporting people with mental health problems across the Carlisle and Eden districts. We provide a range of services including advocacy, crisis support, training and supported volunteering. We offer telephone and text based Mental Health information, signposting, guidance and support across the county through MindLine Cumbria and crisis support through The Lighthouse and Connect. We provide specialist advocacy services for young people and deliver a range of training to people across the area. We also deliver statutory advocacy services for those people in the county detained under the Mental Health Act. Carlisle Eden Mind actively works to combat the stigma surrounding mental health issues through a range of projects and media engagement and seeks to ensure that the voice of people with mental health problems is heard in the development of local services. We also provide a range of supported volunteering opportunities via all our activity and we have a small network of shops in Carlisle and Eden districts.
